Made in Milton Pa because of the Tomato's. Our neighbor Ray Bowersox used to have a contract to haul for them. He was Milton Transportation and I kinda remembering him owning an IH dealership. His antique collection was huge, and really nice stuff like this too. He had a 707 gas powered LJ that looked brand new. I think it was a national first place winner https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/hf12/lots/r101-1931-duesenberg-model-j-barrelside-dualwindshield-phaeton-by-lebaron/ -
Giving it a second read, first line is "unemployment claims". At 5? Doubtful... Could be an overly broad DOGE statement...
-
I'll give a certain benefit of the doubt regarding those under 5: severe disabilities? I suspect this DOGE post is overly broad, there's probably circumstances that could warrant sub 5 year olds receiving some form of some vague entitlement program within social security to offset some disability they were born with. I have a daughter (2 years old) on state insurance to cover county provided Early Intervention therapies. She got stuck during birth and has some oddities resulting. Just wrapped up 1.5 years of physical therapy, working on speech therapy now.

If those bolt holes are dimpled in, you want to take a big flat punch and drive them out a little. Also make sure the shouldered bolts screw all the way into the rocker shaft mounts and the shoulder sits tight on the mount. Lots of times incorrect washers get used on the bolts holding the rocker shafts to the cylinder head and the rocker cover bolt bottoms out on the incorrect washer. - Yesterday

Now I want to put googly eyes on my trucks and see how long it takes people to notice

Can you use a propane torch with care to heat the old gasket to soften it up. -

Bob.... I did not use sealer at this time. When i am sure that i will not remove the covers again, i may put a light coating on one side of the gasket, however, the rubber gaskets were good quality. -

now if you move a small table in front of the TV /chair and bring out the DM800 ; you can still give positive updates on "DM progress" . watch TV and build a model. LOL -
aux box locking and reversing motor
mechohaulic replied to Raven9's topic in Engine and Transmission
high hopes for update on this unit, if the smoke was billowing out breather before you put truck in neutral ; the engine reversing was taking place. with the neutral action you basically gave the engine free roam to run backwards. with running backwards you put transmission in direct/1st unit moved backwards . could this be a 5X4 transmission. if you are talking a '78 RS ; could be set up with a quad. shut down and restart is proper procedure -

that happens when someone uses a tube of silicone PER cover. yes have seen excessive goop used. besides the silicone / indian sealant ; I used a red adhesive :: HIGH TACK = not as bad as the Indian sealer . no need for tons of it . light film on cover; set gasket in place . rubber gasket goes no where when installing covers. -

Yes, trying to get those cork gaskets off with too much sealer is a real pain in the ass… I remember fighting with those things quite a bit back in the 70s on car engines -

remember that stuff back in the day of CORK gaskets. it held well : but you sure did not appreciate it if you were on the clean the valve covers next time. rubber gaskets of today I.ve always used silicone sealer ;;;; light film only!!! what I have been doing {for years} is to take a small center punch and put numerous divets in the base of the valve cover first. they act as "holders" for the rubber gasket.
