Hot off the release of his second-highest charting album ever, Beck has announced a small slate of North America live dates for the coming months.
The singer-songwriter’s first show, April 9 in Santa Barbara, Calif. will act as a warm-up to his previously announced appearance at Coachella in Indio a couple days later. He’s also playing dates in Arizona, Texas, Ohio and Canada, among other locales. On July 1 Beck plays Summerstage in New York City.
Pre-sale begins on Wednesday and will entail using a password, according to his website.
More Beck
Festival-wise, he’s also booked for Firefly in June, and Pitchfork and Forecastle in July.
Beck recently charted his 10th album on the Billboard 200 with the lush and moody “Morning Phase,” which debuted with a little over 87,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. He’s only charted higher once before, when 2005’s “Guero” debuted and peaked at No. 2. Beck is hoping to release a second, more beat-driven album later this year.
In a recent Billboard cover story, the 43-year-old artist spoke about his work ethic at this point in his life.

“There’s always this unreachable that you’re trying to get to,” he said. “And you get pissed you can’t get there, but that’s the beauty of it. I put all my time into this, and I still feel like I’m still figuring it out. There’s still more to do. When I’m playing live is when I really feel it – like there are songs missing. Like, ‘This is such an incomplete picture.'”
