It’s the second preview track from Khaled’s Major Key album, due July 29, and arrives three weeks after the set’s first released track, “For Free,” featuring Drake, which debuted at No. 6 (and climbs 10-7 this week).
“Keys” starts with 45,000 downloads sold in the week ending June 30, according to Nielsen Music, good for a No. 4 debut on the Rap Digital Songs chart. Meanwhile, “For Free” falls 3-5 on the chart, but gains by 12 percent to 33,000 sold.
“Keys” likewise scores the top debut on the Rap Airplay chart, starting at No. 11 with 14 million audience impressions, and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (No. 22). On the Billboard Hot 100, “Keys” begins at No. 56, while “For Free” jumps 33-23.
‘Sucker’ Punches In: “Sucker for Pain,” by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Imagine Dragons, with Logic, Ty Dolla $ign and X Ambassadors, arrives with multiple top 10 debuts, including No. 7 on Hot Rap Songs and No. 5 on Hot Rock Songs. It also bows at No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The rap-rock hybrid single is from the upcoming movie Suicide Squad (Aug. 5) and concurrently debuts atop both the Rap Digital Songs and Rock Digital Songs charts with 67,000 downloads sold.
Streams for “Sucker” reached 6 million domestically in the tracking week, with YouTube accounting for 34 percent of overall clicks. Its music video released June 24 has drawn more than 10 million worldwide views to date.
Rihanna’s ‘Needed Me’ Reaches No. 1: Rihanna claims her ninth No. 1 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop airplay chart as “Needed Me” hops 3-1 in its 13th week. The rise ties Rihanna with Nicki Minaj for the second-most No. 1s on the chart by a female; Beyonce leads the category with 11 No. 1s. (Drake leads all acts with 25 No. 1s on the chart.)
Rihanna most recently hit No. 1 with “Work,” featuring Drake, which reigned for eight straight weeks (beginning March 19), becoming her longest-running No. 1. She first topped the tally in 2007 when “Umbrella” spent two weeks at No. 1.
“Needed Me” simultaneously spends a sixth week at its No. 3 high on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, supported in part by 16.7 million weekly streams (up 2 percent). On the Hot 100, “Needed Me” rebounds to its peak (8-7).
Meanwhile, Rihanna’s new single from the upcoming movie Star Trek Beyond, “Sledgehammer,” arrives at No. 46 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and No. 18 (a career-best bow for Rihanna) on Adult Contemporary.
