Brand new C4 slip yoke wont fit in tailshaft housing?
Oct 11, 2009 · Apparently the slip yoke won't fit in the tailshaft housing bushing. The transmission is a brand new Mighty Mite C4 from Dynamic. I know new bushings can be tight but i lubed it with tranny fluid and i can't even get it started. Anyone have an experience like this? May 31, 2009 · I'm installing a 200/C4 from a '68 Mustang in my '62 Ranchero. (formerly a 170/3 speed manual). I know I need a different slip yoke. I want to reuse my original driveshaft. The u-joint is marked Spicer - USA,(inside C-clips) but there is no number on it. Will any C4 slip joint work? What do I need to look for? Thanks

Dec 12, 2008 · Remember when doing searches, there are different types of slip yokes. A fixed flange on the back of the tranny will have a slip joint on the driveshaft, these need grease and long-term durable grease is the way to go. Something like an auto trany where the slip joint is where the yoke slides in an out of the tranny itself, is lubed by the tranny.
