Everted laryngeal sacculectomy is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of the laryngeal saccules. This procedure is often required for dogs that are experiencing brachycephalic airway syndrome caused by the eversion of the laryngeal saccules. The structures may protrude from inside the throat, just above the vocal cords. The saccules can be surgically removed, and the surgeon may opt to leave the saccules in place and allow them to return to their normal position now that the palate has been repaired.
