Jul 10, 2009 · I am a certified instructor in both KM and Haganah systems. I favor Haganah, generally. The most obvious difference between KM and Haganah is an important strategic objective that Haganah innovates. It is a tactical method termed the POINT OF REFERENCE (POR) which serves as the foundation for the entire Haganah system.

Mar 15, 2004 · The history of the Haganah given on the site only discusses this particular system, and not the actual history of the Haganah itself ( the Yishuv underground military that initially formed during the arab riots of the 1920-1921). I know that has nothing to do with your question, but i thought it was worth mentioning.
Haganah or Krav Maga? Does it even matter?
Mar 24, 2018 · Mike Kanerek, the inventor/founder of Haganah, claims that Haganah is, infact, Krav Maga, and that he trains special-operations units in it, etc. These claims are all false as Haganah is not Krav Maga, and has nothing to do with Krav Maga, nor (to my knowledge) does Mike Kanerek train anyone in the IDF in any official capacity.

May 4, 2006 · As a spin-off from my thread asking about the FIGHT program in another part of these forums, I'm wondering... what is the difference between Haganah and Krav Maga? Sep 24, 2012 · So I am interested in a class that is being taught. I think it is spelled Haganah. Can anyone explain...
After Training Kenpo/Kempo What Style Did You Do Next
Oct 9, 2013 · I studied Kempo at USSD for six years before moving to TKD. I eventually returned to Kempo as an instructor and my instructor studied Israeli Haganah, which really worked well with the Kempo. My instructor modified some of the Kempo curriculum to include aspects from the Haganah system and that made the Kempo even more useful.

Jun 20, 2015 · During my quest for good martial arts training I came across a school that teaches Kickboxing, BJJ, and a Self Defense style called iCAT. Has anyone heard of iCAT before? It seems to be a comittee of well known martial artists (Mike Lee Karanek from Haganah, Joe Lewis, Richard Ryan, Walt Lysak, etc.) that have joined up to start a new style of ...

Jan 29, 2004 · I don't know Haganah. Systema refers to a variety of Russian MA. Probably you're thinking of Systema Ryabko as taught by Vlad Vasiliev and his students. I trained with Vlad briefly. Great man. It's wonderful, funky fun stuff, and Vlad can do it, but I don't fully trust it.

Nov 4, 2010 · If you want to learn Israeli Combatives, Krav Maga is the only real, and legitimate one. Which organization you choose is another story. KMF, IKMF and IKMA are all very high-quality, KMWW schools vary upon the instructor. Avoid CKM, KAPAP, and Haganah as …
