Harbor Freight Tools, Some Great Finds for HVAC - HVAC-Talk
Mar 22, 2015 · Some of the tools at Harbor Freight really aren't up to par for professionals. Today I looked at pipe wrenches and I couldn't bring myself to buy one because the head was so poorly machined it looked like it might slip if I used a breaker bar on it. I bought a pipe tube cutter too that was so poorly designed that I had to just take it back.

Nov 18, 2007 · Harbor Freight is a good place for tools, I bought my tube bender there for 7 dollars, the one that bends from 1/4 - 3/8. i went to sears and home depot and and found them anywhere from 16 - 20 dollars. I needed a hammer: harbor freight has some nice ones for 3 dollars.....I dont see why you would need a 20 to 30 dollar hammer for the work we do.

Oct 13, 2022 · It's an upgrade from the PZ-1550 which is a lot more like the Milwaukee M18 press tool. Can't speak to it's reliability. My larger press tool is simular to the ED-5050. It's also a brushless design that's more like the ridgid press tool. BTW you can request they upgrade your batteries to the 5ah if you want. It only cost me another 20 bucks.

Mar 31, 2017 · The crimping dies are in metric and according to viega in Australia these are the sizes that you'll need: VAU 15mm 20mm 25mm 32mm 40mm 50mm. These are the sizes that they said will work from 1/2 to 2" pipe. I'm going to test and make sure when it comes in. BTW. The tool uses generic Makita 18v batteries.

Aug 12, 2016 · Harbor freight has its place - just not on a professionals truck. Homeowners or once in a while diy - its good enough. But if you make a living fitting pipes together - harbor freight has no place for you. Rigid and Rothenberger are the only way to go. I actually prefer Rothenberger, but theyre both outstanding. Connecting ductboard to air handlers - HVAC-Talk
Sep 28, 2014 · Around here a supply house sells a portable brake for taking from job to job. The only precision brakes I have seen at Harbor Freight are HEAVY and the clamping is done with screw-down, rather than lever, arrangements. That seems like it could be tedious on a job. Oh! I just looked on the HF website.
Pex for geothermal ground loop - HVAC-Talk
Feb 14, 2008 · - The biggest PEX I found was 3/4" - 1" and 1.5" PE are the most common for residential horizontal loops - You could parallel 4 1/2" PEX to get the same area (flow capacity) as 1" PE but again the cost is a real issue - Buying 500' lengths of PEX and having no underground joints and manifolding in the house is a possibility.
What Do You Guys Recommend To Crimp Refrigeration Lines
