What's the best 27" 1440p monitor that has HDMI VRR for PS5?
Nov 10, 2023 · VRR Compatible Monitor/TV List for PS5 (2022) From the RTINGS article, the best 1440p monitor seems to be the LG 27GR95QE-B which is using a 1440p OLED panel. Amazing image quality for sure but super expensive. If I were in your shoes, I would just go for a 1440p monitor that is compatible with PS5 but without VRR functionality.

Sep 9, 2022 · This monitor is set to do 3440 x 1440, 21:9 aspect ratio. When hooked up to the PS5, it says that there is no 1440p output supported for the monitor. I adjust to widescreen on the monitor and it stretches. It doesn't blur the edges, but the sharpness is noticeably lower, but not a huge deal breaker or too horrible.

Aug 8, 2023 · The PS5 cannot even push over 4k 60hz so the extra refresh rate is useless. Most games (like Horizon Forbidden West) have a visual fidelity mode that runs at 4k 30fps or a performance mode that runs at 1800p 60fps. Not sure why this guide recommends a 4k 144Hz monitor for the PS5.

Apr 19, 2023 · The PS5 will run with no problem on it and you can set it to refresh 120hz. For VRR to work regardless if it is a TV or monitor. They have to support HDMI 2.1. My monitor only supports HDMI 2.0 so I don't have the VRR option available as an option. So, as long as the monitor you get supports HDMI 2.1. You should be good.

If you plan to get a tv and game on a tv which is awesome for the ps5. Then for sure invest in a 120hz 4K. Maybe even oled 120hz 4K. Feb 11, 2022 · A ps5 is more like a 2070 not a 2080, and the 2080 wasn't even the best 20 series card. Outside of current insane graphics card prices a ps5 = about a 4-5 year old gaming pc. The difference between a modern day pc on a 3080+ is quite massive. Don't get me wrong I love the ps5 but it's nowhere near a high end gaming pc lol.

Aug 30, 2022 · Yes, but PS5 doesn't actually support 1440p output yet. It's in beta finally but VRR won't be part of it at least not from the get go which is still really disappointing. I got a 1080p 144hz simple monitor for now knowing full well someday I can and will upgrade when the time is right. But currently going for 1440p is useless

Aug 29, 2022 · It will be easier to find a monitor that makes use of the PS5's features for that, TV's with HDMI 2.1 & VRR etc generally start at £800ish. You can just use the console for Netflix etc anyway tbf. The only issue is that 6ft is quite a long way to sit from a monitor.

PS5 might eventually get 21:9 support because the system recently started supporting 120hz refresh rates which was a big announcment for a firmware update released in Q1 23’ and Sony will probably realize gamers can utilize pc monitors for better resoultions and higher refresh rates than just gaming on a tv.
