Bradley Walsh was left red-faced over an awkward on-air blunder on The Chase. Jenny Ryan, also known as The Vixen accused the host of having a 'lax attitude' towards the ITV show after he made an embarrassing error.

The TV star slipped up during the quick fire question round on Thursday night's episode of the popular quiz show. He was putting contestant Rachel's skills to the test, and asked: “What American city's main international airport is known as LAX?”

However instead of pronouncing each individual letter, he said lax. Rachel quickly jumped in and corrected the star and said: “It’s L-A-X", before correctly guessing Los Angeles, the Mirror reports.

She then went up against The Vixen, who wasted no time calling out Bradley’s mistake.

The quiz expert said: “Hello retiary Rachel. There was some really quizzing on display there but what I partially liked is that you corrected Brad. Yes it usually is L-A-X not lax, lax is Brad's attitude to this show.” This prompted an eruption of laughter before Bradley swiftly moved on with the rest of the show.

Bradley also popped up on the BBC this evening, appearing on The One Show with son Barney, to talk about their show Gladiators. He told hosts Roman Kemp and Alex Jones he thought the reboot had been so popular as the show had been "so successful the first time around" and the company that made it "hadn't changed it", just simply "added to it".
