You know what I mean if you have one - that knife that you hold in your hand and think: "Yeah. That one."

I'm lucky enough to have two:

What are yours?

It's no secret I love my Blur(s), but I wouldn't say they are my "soul" blades... For that I'm still searching.

Maybe I'll find it soon? Maybe the search never ends?
Maybe I'll just have to make some blades and put my soul into the work and eventually find it that way? Till I find it. There are plenty of fish in the ocean and I'm still fishing.

Haven't found one yet. As soon as they make a folder with a 4.5" blade that slices like an Opinel, soaks up abuse like a Battle Mistress, weighs under 5oz and pocket opens like an Emerson I'm sold. Until then, I suspect I'll have to settle for a bunch of knives that I mostly like.

Might be to early since I just got this, but it really touches my soul--Ken Onion Leak limited edition Santa Fe Stoneworks Mammoth Tooth:

Then again my favorite feel good knife:

Northwoods Custom Forest Jack in Mammoth.

The one that's been in my pocket for the last 5 months.

I was admiring the pic earlier EyeDog: Happy early father's day! What a beaut...

This is mine for sure:

My carson lab. Ive tried kicking it out of my pocket. It only lasts a day or two and its right back where it belongs.

Wish I kept it.. but the knife wasn't perfect, and practicality would have won over in the end anyhow.

Mora No 1 carbon steel.

I bought it to learn a few things on before "upgrading" to a Becker or something else more substantial, and then found it does everything I need in a knife. It goes along camping, hunting, fishing, you name it. Always sharp and always cuts effortlessly.

I have a Becker and a Bushcraft Black, I just don't find I need anything more substantial than that old Mora very often. I carries so effortlessly around my neck I rarely choose a larger knife to take its place.

I don't know about a 'soul knife', but I definitely have "that knife that you hold in your hand and think: "Yeah. That one.""

It's right here:

It goes pretty much everywhere with me.

This one absolutely,

And even though I've only had this one for a week, it has that certain something that raises it to a higher level. At least IMHO.

I bought this one for the heck of it, wanted to test the steel and it turned out to be great for woods work. Just sits in my hands too good and does more than I expected it would. Great knife that turned out to be better than I thought.

Does fine detailed work really well too.

Sharpens easy and holds a great edge real long. I step outside, and it's on my side. I expect it to be there for years to come.

Folder: Spyderco Centofante III

Fixed: BRKT Bravo 1

Not what I wanted to be my "soulblade(s)". Apparently what I find aesthetically appealing and comfortable/useful/functional are two different things.

When/IF I ever find my "soul blade"...then I guess I'd be done huntin'.
Don't want anything to do with that.

These two really speak to my soul:

My daily carry for the majority of 2015

And this one's still pretty new, but the connection is strong enough that it's what's in my pocket as I type this and I have a feeling it's going to be there for a good while...
