Enjoy a close up encounter with one of the gentlest creatures on earth. The daily swims are undertaken with the utmost respect for the manatees as we are guests in their home.
Crystal River is an easy drive 1.5 hours north of Tampa/Clearwater. Your tour starts with a brief video about manatee, the rules of swimming with them and the proper way to interact. All the gear you’ll need is included….mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit.
You’ll embark on covered U. S. Coast Guard inspected boats with a licensed Captain. Swims are conducted twice daily in the warmer months and reservations are highly recommended. Early morning hours are considered the best time to swim with the manatees. Tours are approximately 3 hours from the time you board the boat until you return.
This is a must-do for anyone intrigued by these gentle giants.
