The hotel is perfectly located, close to all main attractions. The room itself was clan and cozy and had enough space. The bed was very comfortable to sleep. The view on the castle wall was unusual and nice to have, as its is very special.

Located just outside of Obidos Castle Wall. Easy walk into the entrance. Juel or John was very nice and gave us info on how to get to Porto by bus.

The property it self was nice and clean, pretty basic. It was really raining and the water got in the room.

Excellent location, right in the historic center, inside the town walls. Plenty of free parking (we were there in the low season) just outside the town walls. Staff always helpful, very good breakfast included.
If you have the time it's a charming historic town.
If you have the time it's a charming historic town. The incredible Moorish wall wraps all around the town and is walkable for the brave. The narrow streets are lined with fun shops and restaurants and it's almost the only place to sample local cherry liquor in chocolate "cups". And there's a fantastic book shop in an old church in the town centre that has books in many different languages including history of region and cookbooks. One or two days is sufficient to see everything.

Óbidos is an such an interesting medieval town which according to history was a gift from the King of Portugal to his new wife back in 1281.
Ideally wear decent walking shoes to manage the cobbles and steps which are in abundance.
If staying in the town, there are lots of restaurants to choose from with absolutely no need to get into a car to head out.
We were there in November and on Saturday morning, a couple of coaches arrived with tourists. Guessing in high season, those coach numbers increase which could make exploring the town a lot less relaxing and enjoyable.

This is a good location to make day trips to other locations. The walled city of Obidos is very crowded and touristy. Instead we'd recommend a day trip to Tomar, Nazare, Alcobaca etc. Definitely you should visit the Buddha Eden Garden in nearby Bombarral.

Óbidos is a cozy intimate romantic little medieval town situated in a very whimsical region of Portugal. The food there is particularly outstanding, be it quality as its relation with price - our late dinner at Real Casa do Petisco followed in the predicates that I announced above; not only did not disappoint as it completely surprised us to be so well served as we were: the food as divine and the staff were of such attentiveness and kindness. I highly recommend it to couples, whatever their age may be. It delivers a greatly complete getaway experience.

Obidos is a charming small town with its original surrounding walls. It's great for a one night stay and an exploration of the town, the castle and the walls, If you're not too afraid of heights (there are no guardrails) you can walk pretty much all the way around the town on the walls. There are some very good restaurants and charming shops. If you are planning an overnight stay the Patio House is well worth considering.

The house was spacious and tranquil, with a fantastic setting at the top end of the walled town, close to the castle. It was an old building, full of character, with beatuful art and old furniture, and with a lovely terraced garden overlooking the town below. The main street of Óbidos was busy with tourists during the day, but peaceful in the early morning and evening. The house is set back from the main street, and quiet. Óbidos was a good base for exploring the area. I would love to return.
The location ( castle and parking) were great.
The host even online was available and helpful.
I liked that the place is a renovated old house. It matches the medieval place (Óbidos). It is cozy and the space is well used.
The decoration is simple and that gives a sense of calm, and is useful.
The bedroom has good space and you don't remember you are in a small house.
Adorable! Excellent! Loved the interior, a comfy bed, the kitchen had all needed facilities, a quiet place and the swimming pool gave a feeling of SPA resort in the medieval town. Spent 4 nights and could easily stay more. Obidos and surroundings have a lot to offer.
The outside pool is great, and also the spa. We loved our room with the long balcony and view to the main pool. We could also see Óbidos Castle from the balcony. The staff were always pleasant and attentive. Will definitely return with our family.
The space and the location. The house is nicely done with big comfortable beds and a lovely living room/ terrace.
It is a short walk from the castle and easy to park.
