Charlie Puth Is Engaged to Brooke Sansone!

Wedding bells are in Charlie Puth’s near future. The “Attention” singer announced on September 7, 2023, that he proposed to his girlfriend, Brooke Sansone, in New York City. “I flew to New York to ask my best friend to marry me, and she said yes,” Puth captioned his Instagram post. “I am the happiest, best version of myself and it is all because of you Brookie. I love you endlessly forever and ever and ever.” 

In addition to his heartfelt caption, Puth posted a carousel of images at Lucali, a pizzeria in Brooklyn. It appears that the couple celebrated their engagement at the restaurant after Puth got down on one knee. The first photo shows the duo either taking a selfie or tuning into a FaceTime call while holding glasses of wine and smiling. The collection of images also document the couple enjoying a piece of pepperoni pizza. Sansone’s engagement ring, a pear-shaped diamond on a silver band, was another focal point of the post. 

Family, friends, and fans were quick to congratulate the couple in the comments section. John Legend simply wrote, “Congratulations!!” Meanwhile, fellow singer-songwriter Armaan Malik gushed, “Oh man! This is the cutest! So so happy for the both of you 🥹❤️.” Radio personality Gabrielle Davis also shared her excitement. “I am unwell screaming!!!!!!!!!” she exclaimed. “The most beautiful couple - here’s to forever ❤️.”

The couple’s engagement news comes just one day after they were photographed together taking a stroll in New York City. While Sansone wore a white sundress and sunglasses, Puth sported a white T-shirt and ripped jean shorts. The couple officially made their red carpet debut in February 2023 at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala in Los Angeles. They were first seen together at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City in September 2022, which sparked dating rumors.

One month later, Puth opened up to Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show, The Howard Stern Show, about being in love. Puth told the radio host that he fell for someone he has a history with. “[She’s] someone that I grew up with,” Puth explained. He also indicated that it’s “nice” to have someone he’s known for so long by his side while navigating his music career. "Honestly, I get so scared of people now, like, I can't really walk anywhere for whatever reason, and I think the more that happens, the more I just want to retreat to someone that I've known for a long time,” he said. “I’m not really interested in going out like I used to and being crazy.” In December 2022, Puth and Sansone went Instagram official.
