Intense emotional disputes come to life in the daily arbitration-based reality court show 'Relative Justice', presided over by Judge Rhonda Wills.
OTT platform Viu has secured the rights to the first two seasons of the arbitration-based reality court show Relative Justice (300×30’) for its African subscribers. The acquisition was announced by Los Angeles-based distributor GRB Media Ranch (GRBMR) as part of a series of recent sales.
In addition to this deal, GRBMR licensed the wildlife documentary Wild Zambezi (8×60’) to US cable network The Africa Channel and South African cinema company Ster Kinekor for theatrical release.
Furthermore, Ivory Coast-based production company Aby Media, co-founded by industry veterans Bernard Azria and Kimberley Azria, acquired the format rights to the studio-based game show Blind Dating. Meanwhile, Khelgejo Productions licensed the format for Untold Stories of the ER, a show that has been sold in over 200 countries in the past 20 years.
Gary R Benz, CEO at GRBMR, said: “We continue to acquire programmes of broad but targeted interest, and we are especially excited about the first international format sale to Khelgejo Productions of our GRB Studios-created show Untold Stories of the ER and to see a locally produced version in Africa. As we say at GRB Media Ranch, we’ve got stories!”
