The new-look Karrinyup Shopping Centre is another step closer to completion. In July, the $800 million redevelopment opened more than 60 stores on the ground level of “The Loop”, Karrinyup’s dedicated fashion and lifestyle precinct. On Thursday October 7, the centre launches more than 40 new major international and Australian retailers across the completed two levels of The Loop, including globally renowned brands Camilla, Viktoria & Woods, and Polo Ralph Lauren. Some of Australia’s top luxury and lifestyle brands are also joining the stable, some of them making their WA debut. Here are five you should check out.

Aje and Aje Athletica
Pronounced “age”, as its founders recently spelled out in a new collection, Australian label Aje and its new activewear and athleisure brand Aje Athletica are a major drawcard for the centre (it’s the latter’s first store in Western Australia). Aje’s signature casual, off-duty style incorporates everything from dresses with striking silhouettes to casual T-shirts with the brand’s signature logo. Aje Athletica is set to stock the brand’s collection of new-age, performance-led pieces. The new Aje Athletica collection launched in June this year and is already proving popular for its sustainable approach and mix of pieces designed to be worn from the gym to running errands.

Scanlan Theodore
Melbourne designer label, Scanlan Theodore, has been leading Australian womenswear with its high fashion designs and elegant style since 1987. The new spring/summer collection is full of bright colour and neutral separates. Denim and black also make an appearance this season, in an assortment of designs that embody European elegance. The new store will also stock the label’s range of accessories, including shoes, bags, sunglasses and jewellery.
