A two-day thrift shop – with curated pieces from Off White, Homie and Clothing the Gaps – where you can score threads inspired by the Netflix reboot for free.

It’s hard to beat thrift stores and op shops for finding great bargains on clothes. But have you been to one where they give everything away?

To celebrate the release of Netflix’s Heartbreak High reboot, the streaming giant is opening a pop-up thrift shop for two days only, with free pieces curated by a top Aussie stylist.

Find garments from local labels like Homie, Clothing the Gaps and Jody Just, through to luxury fashion from Off White. Take them off the racks, then rack off.

It’s first in, best dressed with 500 pieces being given away daily. You can also get temporary tattoos inspired by the new series, and a professional photographer will be on-site to snap your not-so-high-school portrait – say cheese.

From 10am to 6pm.

The reboot is achingly Australian: vibrant, authentic and packed with references – subtle and overt – to what it’s like to grow up in a coastal city Down Under.

“A lot of the show, in terms of its setting, feels like a love letter to Sydney,” actor Will McDonald – who plays Ca$h, an eshay with a mullet, an ambiguous sexual identity and a sick pair of TNs – tells Broadsheet.
