On Sunday August 28, 2022, Doreen Jackson Bullock Baker passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City. She was 91. Born June 15, 1931 to Harry and Florence Jackson in Lincolnshire England.
Doreen married Evan John Bullock in England where they started their family. They returned to the United States in 1957, living in Wyoming and finally settling in Utah where they raised their 6 children. The two later divorced and Evan passed in 1977. Doreen was an incredibly hard worker, often working multiple jobs to provide for her children.
Doreen enjoyed western dancing at the Westerner where she met Jack Baker. The two were married in February 1988. Together they spent many more years together enjoying line dancing at the Westerner Club, camping in their list camp trailer, fishing, and taking many trips to Wendover, NV to play the slot machines.
Doreen loved her "programs" She knew exactly what time and exactly which channel they were on. She spent many years babysitting her grandchildren and teaching them the games of The Price Is Right, taking them swimming, and to the park. She loved the Utah Jazz and a good boxing match.
She is survived by a loving family including her husband Jack, her sons Jerry (Janet), Patrick, Richard (Stacey), Donna Martin (Harold). Jack's children Jackie Beebe (Steve), Linda Brecke, and Cecelia Maestas (Ted). Grandchildren Josh (Maddison), Haley, McKell (Carl), Zachary, Jesse, Jacob, Jennifer, Samuel, Michael (Jeanette), Xavier (Kylee), and Mercedes, sixteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by husband Evan, sons, Harry John and Glenn, stepson, Steven Baker, and two great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to like to extend heartfelt thanks Anya and the entire staff at St. Joseph Villa for the love and kindness in caring for Doreen.
Private Family services will be held Thursday September 1, 2022 at the Murray City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
