Texas G Destiny Littleton reportedly enters NCAA Transfer Portal

After two seasons in Austin, Texas Longhorns sophomore guard Destiny Littleton is eyeing a change of scenery, as she has elected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per a report from Rick Cantu of the Austin American-Statesman.

A former five-star prospect and McDonald’s All-American, Littleton was once signed to USC, but ended up at Texas after Trojans coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke resigned following the 2016-17 season.

Once she arrived at Texas, Littleton struggled to find a productive role as a freshman, seeing action in only eight games and averaging just 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest.

As a sophomore, though, Littleton emerged as an important presence in the Longhorns’ rotation. Her playing time more than doubled to 24.2 minutes per game, and her contributions followed suit, as she averaged 8.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.

Littleton cracked double figures in the scoring column 12 times last season.

In hopes of replacing Littleton, Karen Aston and the Longhorns have yet another five-star signee waiting in the wings in Long Island (N.Y.) Lutheran guard Celeste Taylor.
