Are You Too Busy Being Busy?

Does this sound like you?

A small business owner always on the run with so many balls in the air that one could drop at any moment.

A To-Do List 10 miles long with the associated stress eating you from the inside out, robbing you of the joy of running your business and keeping you awake at night.

Late nights doing administration.

Working too many hours.

Neglecting your family, your life and worst of all, your self-care.

IT’S TIME TO WAKE UP & SMELL THE ROSES or at the very least entertain the idea of working with a Virtual Assistant.

Covid has made people realise that it is no longer “required” to work in an office under supervision. I’m sure many bosses suffered severe anxiety at the thought of letting their charges out of their site but guess what, in the main, it has worked out & resulted in somewhat of a “VIRTUAL WFH REVOLUTION”.

It will be interesting to see how the Working From Home (WFH) option pans out in the coming years. Will CEOs & Boards concede that they don’t need to wear the costs of large offices and that some of their employees perform better in a remote location?

Anyway, I digress. What I’m getting at is that if you run a small business and are "over" dealing with “that sinking feeling” then HELP is available.

Granted, it will take some effort and commitment on your part. It’s certainly not a set & forget scenario.

Analyse how much time you are spending on non-revenue producing activities. Ask yourself what tasks a VA could do that will free up your time to grow your business, things that you more than likely enjoy doing more than admin. There is a myriad of VAs out there waiting to serve, with skills to meet any need.

Once you leap, patience will be required as you learn to work together and your VA gets a handle on you, your business and the tasks at hand. Please persist as this will truly be a game-changer. You just have to BELIEVE (and be open to change).

There is every chance that the way you do some things is not the best and most efficient way. Go with the flow and see what happens.

Instead of the “Why Not” approach put this aside and consider the “WHY’s” – all the benefits of outsourcing.

It doesn’t have to be a marriage, you can dip your toe in the water with a first date.

Still not sure. I’m happy to speak to anyone who wants to listen to the reasons WHY.
