Shirley A. Nash

Shirley (Seiling) Nash, passed away on Sunday April 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Catherine Seiling, sister to the late James Seiling and Janet (Seiling) Nordstrom.  She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, her dog Muggsey, family gatherings and time outdoors at lakes and Cape Cod.

Shirley is an Alumni of Albany High and Mildred Elley and Russell Sage Colleges.  She was employed for over 35 years at NYS Dept of Criminal Justice as a Supervising Fingerprint Analyst and a lifelong member of The First Church In Albany.

She leaves behind her seven children: Michael (Anne Marie) Nash, David Nash, Tracy (Paul) Finn, Stephen (JoAnn) Nash, Lisa (William) Cole, Catherine Vitas, Teresa (William) Hickey.  And her beloved grandchildren:  Brian, Jennifer, Allison, Jarrod, Steven, Erin, Kayla, Lauren, Colby, Jack, Sean, Haley, Madison, Parker, Dean, Devin, Christopher, Ryan, Matthew and Amanda. Also nieces Patricia (Richard) Sienkiewicz and Valerie Marchisio, late Cheryl (Steven) Mayotte, along with many grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at The First Church in Albany, 110 North Pearl St Albany NY 12207, on Friday, April 22 at 10 am.  Interment will be immediately following at Albany Rural Cemetery.  Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 21st from 5-7pm. at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave Albany, NY 12205.

In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in her name to First Church in Albany.
