“Wow”, “Amazing”, “Love it!”, “I’ve got goosebumps” and “I nearly cried” were just some of the words coming from Canowindra Pre-School teachers, staff and parents on Wednesday last week when Pre-School resumed and revealed the Stage One completion of the expansions at the facility.
Earlier this year the Canowindra Pre-School was granted over $246,000 to expand and renovate the centre to allow for more students to attend the Pre-School to ensure all children aged 4-5 years old have access to Pre-School the year before starting school.
Over the recent two week school holiday break Cabonne Constructions co-ordinated numerous tradies to get the job done in such a short space of time. The “Gumnut” room has been transformed into a light filled haven with so much more space for the lucky children who attend the Pre-School. The administration and parents room have been converted into a large storage room, a disabled toilet and a staff room for the teachers, and a lovely wide hallway now joins the “Gumnut” and “Gumtree” rooms.
For stage two of the renovation a new multipurpose building will be built to accommodate the administration staff and there will also be a large meeting room for the whole community to utilise.
Nadine Daly, President of the Pre-School said that “The Canowindra community is just so lucky that the Pre-School was granted this money and is excited to see the commencement of stage two of the build start over the next few months.”
The Pre-School is encouraging families past and present and prospective new families to call in and have a look at the renovated facilities. You can also view the plans for stage two of the development.
