Nurtured Baby is a Unique Care Concept designed for Infants and Young Toddlers in the Heart of Chapel Hill. Baby is cared for in a beautiful, home-like environment - where they can safely grow and explore - with loving, attentive, educated caregivers. WHAT IS THIS:
The concept for Nurtured Baby Care-Center was created as a completely unique response to the growing concerns over typically available infant care for two-parent working families. The ideology was developed after many years of both education and experience in working with infants as well as toddlers - with a strong focus on meeting ALL of a child's needs; including the physical, emotional and neurological development - critical components to each child's care.

WHY IS IT DIFFERENT:
This is a completely unique program - developed with a philosophy that centers around creating and replicating a family home atmosphere.
This environment naturally encourages the normal healthy development of infants both neurologically and physically, thus allowing the child the opportunity to move about independently - exploring their surroundings safely with oversight from caring staff.

WHAT DOES THE RESEARCH SAY:
If you consider a normal paradigm of a child's earliest months and years, each child moves, explores, crawls or toddles about - as curiosity motivates them - to continuously expand their horizons. Numerous visual and brain synapses are firing as they are exposed to their world. Additionally, during these first 24 to 30 months, infants develop important bonds with their caregivers, learning to trust relationships, develop speech patterns and many other autonomic-behaviors, imprinted on them during this crucial phase of development - 40 to 50 hours each week. Thus the importance and critical role of attentive interaction, background and education of the caregiver.

OUR NUTRITION PROGRAM:
We feel it is important to provide healthy food choices for young ones transitioning from milk/formula, creating healthy behavior patterns, with a focus on nutritious and tasty - pesticide-free foods. All food provided is certified organic, free-range, wild caught - pasture raised and mostly locally sourced.
