Chelsea is an amazing nanny - one I would highly recommend (and have been) to everyone. She's been working part time (~25 hrs) for my family for 6 months now and we couldn't be happier with her. First of all, she truly cares for our little girl and it shows: this is not a job for her, but a passion. Our little girl is always thrilled when Chelsea walks in. Chelsea is very attentive to the direction we gave her for our little one's routine. She follows it perfectly. One of Chelsea's great qualities is her honesty and open communication style. If some thing unplanned occurred, she is upfront and honest about the event. She's always on time, but in the rare event she's running late she is very communicative about her whereabouts. What I also appreciate about Chelsea is her pro-activeness: she seeks to understand the reason behinds my parenting decisions so that if a situation occurs that we did not go over together, she will try and mimic what the parents would do in that situation. I'm happy she is confidant in her child rearing skills that minor situations don't require constant checking in with mom or dad. But, as mentioned, she will let me know what steps she took and will ask in the future if that is how it should be handled with your child. Chelsea is also very creative and playful with our child: she's been doing some art work with our 1 year old. We've enjoyed our little one's finger art. She's also athletic and willing to do any sports activities with your child. We love that Chelsea has the energy and enthusiasm needed to play all the activities with our little one. She always speaks softly with our child even when our child is crying/screaming, she is very patient and very loving (she will sing songs as the child is upset). She is reliable, responsible, and caring individual. Any family would be blessed to have her watch their child.
