The TPSC Group 1 2025 prelims examination is scheduled to be held on 15th June 2025 for 72 Group 1 and Group 1A vacancies.  Before applying for the Exam the candidates should know the syllabus and the marking scheme for strategising their preparation up to the mark. TNPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern 2025

The TNPSC Group 1 Exam consists of 3 phases: Prelims, Mains, and Interviews. The TNPSC Group 1 will have two written exams- Prelims and Mains. There are also qualifying marks in both exams. Check the subject wise mark distributions and minimum qualifying marks for each paper from the below table.

1. The TNPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam consists of one paper carrying 200 objective-type questions for 1.5 mark each.
2. The duration of the prelims exam is 3 hours.
3. There would be no negative marking for incorrect answer.
4. TNPSC Group 1 Prelims is of qualifying in nature and marks will not be included in the merit list.
5. The language of the Preliminary Exam will be English and Telugu.

TNPSC Group 1 Mains Syllabus 2025

The Main exam is divided into 4 papers, and the total time allotted to solve each paper is 3 hours. The Papers cover conceptual and descriptive questions. The detailed syllabus for the topics in each Paper is given in the following table.
