Mavericks' Caleb Martin: Assigned to G League
Dallas assigned Martin to the G League's Texas Legends on Tuesday.
Martin has yet to debut for the Mavericks since being acquired via trade, but this is a step in the right direction for the veteran. With Kyrie Irving (knee) ruled out for the season, Martin could potentially step into a large role for Dallas once he gets the green light.

Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Suffers torn ACL
Irving (knee) suffered a torn ACL during Monday's loss to the Kings, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
This is a devastating injury for the 32-year-old guard, who was attempting to will the Mavericks to the postseason following the trade of Luka Doncic and subsequent injury to Anthony Davis (thigh). For the remainder of this season, guards like Spencer Dinwiddie, Max Christie, Dante Exum and Jaden Hardy (ankle) will presumably take on more usage. However, this is an injury that will extend into next season and will most likely keep Irving out until around the 2026 New Year.

Mavericks' Naji Marshall: Posts solid line in loss
Marshall logged 18 points (7-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, six assists and two steals across 30 minutes during Monday's 122-98 loss to Sacramento.
Kyrie Irving left this game early with a sprained knee and was unable to return for Dallas. The Mavericks are already very shorthanded, so if Irving is forced to miss time, Marshall looks poised to step into a larger role. He's had a solid campaign so far, posting averages of 11.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.9 three-pointers in 25.1 minutes.

Mavericks' Kai Jones: Impresses with Dallas
Jones accumulated 21 points (9-10 FG, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds and one block across 34 minutes during Monday's 122-98 loss to the Kings.
Jones, who had just signed a two-way contract with Dallas on March 1, got off to a flying start with his new team. Dallas' frontcourt has been destroyed by injuries, opening the door for Jones to offer up some fantasy appeal in the short term. Fantasy managers in need of a big man may want to give him a close look, especially with free agent center Moses Brown having success in this role previously.

Mavericks' Spencer Dinwiddie: Scores 10 points in loss
Dinwiddie provided 10 points (2-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Monday's 122-98 loss to Sacramento.
Kyrie Irving suffered a sprained right knee during Monday's game and was unable to return, so Dinwiddie could potentially be called upon to step into a larger role depending on the severity of the issue. Dinwiddie has 19 starts to his name this season, averaging 14.4 points, 5.1 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.4 three-pointers on 42.3 percent shooting from the field.

Mavericks' Jaden Hardy: Won't return with ankle sprain
Hardy will not return to Monday's game against the Kings due to a right ankle sprain.
The severity of the injury is unknown, but Hardy can be deemed day-to-day ahead of his next chance to play Wednesday in Milwaukee. His night ends after 15 minutes of action and after logging eight points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds and one steal. Spencer Dinwiddie and Max Christie should see more playing time off the bench.

Mavericks' Jaden Hardy: Goes back to locker room Monday
Hardy sustained an apparent right ankle injury during the third quarter of Monday's game against the Kings and exited to the locker room, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
Hardy was able to put some weight on the right leg while limping off the court, which is a positive sign for the 22-year-old. The third-year guard started the second half in place of Kyrie Irving (knee), and if Hardy joins Irving on the sideline for the remainder of the game, Spencer Dinwiddie will likely receive a bump in minutes.

Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Won't return Monday
Irving won't return to Monday's matchup against the Kings due to a sprained left knee, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
Irving was unable to walk off the court under his own power after sustaining the left knee injury on a drive to the basket. He finished the game with seven points (2-4 FG, 3-3 FT), one rebound and one assist before exiting to the locker room in the first quarter. The superstar will likely undergo further testing before Wednesday's game against the Bucks, and with Irving sidelined for the remainder of Monday's game at the very least, Jaden Hardy and Spencer Dinwiddie are candidates to see a bump in minutes.

Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Helped back to locker room Monday
Irving exited to the locker room after sustaining an apparent left knee injury during the first quarter of Monday's game against the Kings, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Irving appeared to injure his left knee while driving to the basket, and he stayed down for an extended period with teammates and medical staff surrounding him. The superstar was unable to walk off the court under his own power, though he stayed in the game to shoot two from the charity stripe before the medical staff came back out and helped him to the locker room. Jaden Hardy and Spencer Dinwiddie are candidates for an uptick in playing time if Irving is unable to return.

Mavericks' Kessler Edwards: Running with starters
Edwards is starting Monday's game against the Kings, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Edwards will make his return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench in his last appearance Thursday and failing to check in during Saturday's matchup. He should be more involved Monday considering P.J. Washington has been ruled out with an ankle injury.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Starting Monday
Powell will start in Monday's game against Sacramento, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Moses Brown will retreat to the bench in favor of Powell, who has operated off the bench in each of the club's last three outings. In that three-game span, the big man had averaged 3.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 14.7 minutes per contest. Powell missed 16 consecutive outings due to a right hip strain before appearing in those three outings, and he'll likely continue to operate under a minutes restriction.

Mavericks' Dante Exum: Running with first unit
Exum is starting Monday's game against the Kings, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
The Mavs are making several changes to the first unit Monday, giving Exum a chance to make his first start since Feb. 23. He's averaging 10.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in his last four games as a starter.

Mavericks' Max Christie: Coming off bench Monday
Christie is not in the Mavericks' starting lineup against the Kings on Monday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Christie started his Mavericks tenure averaging 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals over 34.3 minutes per game over seven outings. He's started in the Mavericks' last three games, though he's shot just 33.3 percent from the field while averaging 7.7 points over 32.7 minutes in that span. Christie will serve in a reserve role Monday while Dante Exum starts alongside Kyrie Irving in the backcourt.

Mavericks' Kai Jones: Not on injury report Monday
Jones (not injury related) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Monday's game against the Kings.
Jones will be available to make his Mavericks debut after signing a two-way deal with the club. The high-flying big man started the season under a two-way pact with the Clippers, averaging 2.2 points and 1.6 rebounds across 7.4 minutes per game in 28 regular-season appearances before having been waived. With injuries piling up in the club's frontcourt of late, Jones could step into the rotation right away.

Mavericks' P.J. Washington: Unavailable for Monday
Washington (ankle) is out for Monday's game against the Kings, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Washington suffered an aggravation of his right ankle sprain during Saturday's game against the Bucks and will be forced to miss at least one game. Naji Marshall and Olivier-Maxence Prosper figure to see expanded roles with Washington out of the lineup.

Mavericks' Jaden Hardy: Pops for 16 off bench
Hardy closed with 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt), one rebound and four assists over 22 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 132-117 loss to the Bucks.
It's the third-year guard's best scoring effort since he hung 21 points on the Cavaliers back on Feb. 2. An ankle sprain has cost Hardy five of the Mavs' 11 games since then, but he looked fully recovered Saturday as he drained at least four treys for the first time since Jan. 15. If he can stay healthy, Hardy could carve out a significant role in a Dallas backcourt that hasn't been getting consistent production from anyone except Kyrie Irving.
