Pacers Sound Off After Being Eliminated In the Eastern Conf. Finals

Top Pacers News

  • Pacers' Bennedict Mathurin: Goes for 23 points off bench Friday

Mathurin accumulated 23 points (6-11 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 8-9 FT), one rebound and one steal in 27 minutes during Friday's 126-104 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Tyrese Haliburton had a rough performance Friday, but Mathurin stepped up on offense and was one of the Pacers' best players throughout the game. His intensity certainly gave the Pacers a huge boost every time he was on the floor, but his fantasy upside will remain limited as long as he remains in a bench role.

  • Pacers' Myles Turner: Puts up 15 points Friday

Turner supplied 15 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-8 FT), three rebounds, three blocks and one steal over 26 minutes during Friday's 126-104 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Turner was limited to just seven shots and scored nearly half of his total point haul from the free-throw line, but overall, his impact was limited. The big man had to exit the game briefly in the third quarter due to an apparent injury, but Turner didn't show effects of being injured or limited down the stretch, so he shouldn't be in danger of missing Game 4 on Sunday. Turner has scored at least 15 points in four of his last five playoff appearances, but he's recorded just one double-double over that stretch.

  • Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Scores 18 points in Game 3 loss

Siakam ended with 18 points (8-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), four rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes during Friday's 126-104 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Siakam looked like the only Indiana player who was trying to mount a comeback for prolonged stretches during the second half, and he was one of the top players for the Pacers in this 22-point defeat. This was Siakam's best scoring output of the series, but the fact that he's yet to reach the 20-point mark in the series -- and knowing he's failed to do that in five straight playoff contests -- should be a bit concerning for fantasy managers who continue to ride with Siakam in their lineups, particularly in DFS formats.

  • Pacers' Myles Turner: Checks back into game Friday

Turner (foot) has checked back into Friday's Game 3 against the Cavaliers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Turner exited the game after a fall due to an apparent foot injury, but he returned quickly and checked back into the game only a few minutes after departing. The big man should handle his regular workload in the frontcourt if he stays healthy.

  • Pacers' Myles Turner: Headed to locker room

Turner suffered a hard fall and went straight to the locker room during the third quarter of Friday's Game 3 against the Cavaliers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Turner was seen limping once he got off the court, and it seemed as if he was unable to put any weight on one of his feet. This is certainly concerning, as Turner has been one of the best players for Indiana in the playoffs. If he doesn't return, Thomas Bryant and Obi Toppin would be in line to see more minutes in the frontcourt alongside Pascal Siakam.

  • Pacers' Myles Turner: Strong line in win

Turner racked up 23 points (8-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, five blocks and one steal in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 victory over Cleveland in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

According to StatMuse, Turner joined Jermaine O'Neal as the only Pacers to record 23 points, eight rebounds and five blocks in a postseason game. Siakam has been excellent for Indiana, posting averages of 17.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.6 blocks across seven playoff outings.

  • Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Muted performance in win

Siakam closed Tuesday's 120-119 win over the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-5 FT), six rebounds and four assists across 30 minutes.

Siakam has been efficient in seven playoff games, shooting 53.7 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from beyond the arc. His usage and production are down a bit, however, as he's putting up 18.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.4 three-pointers in 33.1 minutes.

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Productive postseason continues

Nembhard registered 13 points (5-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, 13 assists and two steals across 36 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 win over the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Nembhard continues to break out in the playoffs and has been one of Indiana's most reliable players. Through seven postseason games, Nembhard is shooting 50.0 percent from the field with 15.9 points, 6.1 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.3 three-pointers. With the Pacers holding a 2-0 lead, the series will shift to Indiana for Game 3 on Friday.

  • Pacers' Bennedict Mathurin: Pops for 19 points in win

Mathurin ended Tuesday's 120-119 win over the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 19 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 20 minutes.

Mathurin had arguably his best game of the postseason, scoring 19 points as the Pacers somehow stole Game 2 in front of a disappointed Cavaliers crowd. Having appeared in six games during the playoffs, Mathurin's role seemingly changes from one game to the next. With that said, he has scored double-digit points in two of the team's three home games, a trend that he will look to continue Friday.

  • Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Buzzer-beater seals Game 2 victory

Haliburton notched 19 points (7-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and one block across 36 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 win over the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Haliburton was at it again, helping the Pacers recover from a 20-point deficit to defeat the Cavaliers. Trailing by seven points with less than a minute remaining, Indiana launched a fierce comeback, capped off by a dagger three-pointer by Haliburton with less than two seconds left on the clock. Indiana will now return home with all the momentum, leading the series 2-0.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Strong postseason continues

Nesmith closed with 23 points (8-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one steal over 33 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 victory over Cleveland in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Nesmith continues to play his best basketball of the season, scoring double-digit points for the sixth straight game. He added four combined steals and blocks, helping the Pacers to yet another nailbiting victory. The series will now shift to Indiana with the Pacers leading 2-0. While he doesn't always receive a lot of attention, Nesmith has played a key role for Indiana.
