Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Questionable with groin strain
Randle is questionable for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia due to a right groin strain.
The Timberwolves have a short turnaround Wednesday against the Hornets, so the team could opt to keep Randle out of the lineup on one leg of this back-to-back set. With Rudy Gobert (back) out Tuesday, Minnesota's frontcourt could be significantly undermanned. Donte DiVincenzo and Nickeil Alexander-Walker could take on more playing time if Randle is sidelined against the 76ers.

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Remains out for Tuesday
Gobert (back) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia.
Gobert will miss his eighth consecutive contest due to a back injury. His next chance to play will come in the second half of the club's back-to-back set on Wednesday against the Hornets. Naz Reid and Luka Garza will likely continue to shoulder the workload at the center position.

Timberwolves' Donte DiVincenzo: Strong showing from second unit
DiVincenzo posted 24 points (8-14 FG, 8-13 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and five steals in 27 minutes of the bench during Sunday's 116-98 victory over Phoenix.
While Minnesota dealt with injuries to bigger names like Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert (back) in February, DiVincenzo's absence from the second unit was also keenly felt. The 24 points were his best showing in three games since making his return from a toe injury, while the eight made three-pointers and the five steals were both season highs. Since getting back into the lineup, DiVincenzo's gone 15-for-29 (51.7 percent) from beyond the arc.

Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Supplies 20 points in return
Randle (groin) totaled 20 points (8-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and three assists across 34 minutes during Sunday's 116-98 victory over Phoenix.
Playing for the first time since Jan. 30, Randle looked fully recovered from his right groin strain. The 30-year-old forward struggled to find consistency over his first few months with the Timberwolves, but he had been showing signs at the end of January that he was getting more comfortable, scoring at least 20 points in three straight contests before getting hurt. He returned Sunday with an efficient performance, and he didn't seem to be operating with any restrictions either, as his 34 minutes were right in line with his season-long average (32.6 per game).

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Erupts for 44 in Phoenix
Edwards ended Sunday's 116-98 victory over the Suns with 44 points (12-22 FG, 6-14 3Pt, 14-14 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 36 minutes.
It's the fourth time in 11 appearances since the beginning of February that Edwards has delivered 40-plus points, a stretch in which he's averaged 31.9 points, 7.3 boards, 5.0 assists, 4.2 threes and 1.3 steals. Sunday's performance came with Julius Randle back in the lineup, and Edwards' usage figures to decline a little as the veteran forward gets back up to game speed, although the fifth-year guard will remain the focal point of the Minnesota offense.

Timberwolves' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Retreats to bench Sunday
Alexander-Walker will come off the bench during Sunday's game against the Suns.
Alexander-Walker will return to a bench role due to Anthony Edwards (suspension) being back in the lineup. In his last three games off the bench, Alexander-Walker has averaged 17.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 34.3 minutes per contest.

Timberwolves' Terrence Shannon: Returning to bench Sunday
Shannon is not in the Timberwolves' starting lineup against the Suns on Sunday.
Shannon made his first career NBA start Friday against the Jazz and finished with 17 points, five assists, four rebounds and one block over 28 minutes. He'll retreat to the bench Sunday due to Anthony Edwards (calf) returning from a one-game suspension.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Good to go Sunday vs. Phoenix
Edwards (calf) is available to play against the Suns on Sunday, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports.
Edwards has been working through right calf soreness as of late, but the injury isn't severe enough to prevent him from playing Sunday. He finished the month of February averaging 30.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals over 36.2 minutes per game, though he shot 39.1 percent from the field over that span.

Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Cleared to play Sunday
Randle (groin) will be available for Sunday's game against the Suns, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.
Randle has been out of action since Jan. 30 due to a right groin strain, but he's progressed enough in his recovery to return to the floor Sunday. The Timberwolves haven't indicated whether Randle will operate under a minutes restriction, but that may be a fair assumption, given the length of his absence. Randle will likely start alongside Naz Reid in the frontcourt until Rudy Gobert (back) is cleared to return, at which point Reid will likely move back to the bench.

Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Intends to play Sunday
Randle (groin), who is questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns, intends to play, NBA reporter Chris Haynes reports.
Randle has missed the club's last 13 outings due to a right groin strain, though he'll likely return to game action against Phoenix. The veteran forward hadn't missed a game until February, and he's averaging 18.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 0.7 steals across 32.6 minutes per game in 48 regular-season appearances. It wouldn't be surprising to see Randle operate under a minutes restriction if he suits up following an extended absence.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Questionable for Sunday
Edwards is questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns due to right calf soreness.
Edwards has been playing through the minor calf injury, averaging 28.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 35.6 minutes per game over seven straight appearances before sitting out Friday's 117-116 loss in Utah due to a one-game suspension for accruing 16 total technicals this season. Julius Randle (groin) is also questionable and could make his first appearance since Jan. 30.

Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Questionable for Sunday
Randle (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns.
Randle hasn't stepped on the court since logging 10 minutes in a 138-113 win over the Jazz and missed the entire month of February, but he might be ready to return to action Sunday. Randle is averaging 18.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 0.7 steals per game across 48 starts this season. If he isn't deemed ready to return, then Jaden McDaniels would remain as the starting power forward.

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Another absence coming
Gobert (back) is out for Sunday's game against the Suns.
The towering big man is set to miss a seventh straight game due to a back injury, and he doesn't have a clear timetable for a return to the hardwood. His next chance to play will come against the 76ers on Tuesday.

Timberwolves' Jaden McDaniels: Double-double vs. Utah
McDaniels amassed 20 points (9-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt), 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Friday's 117-116 loss to Utah.
McDaniels finished second on the Timberwolves in both points and rebounds Friday behind Naz Reid (27 points and 11 rebounds). McDaniels was averaging 10.5 points per game up until Jan. 31, but the fifth-year forward has taken on an increased scoring role as of late. He has recorded three double-doubles over his last four games, and he has averaged 18.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 steals over 37.1 minutes per game over his last 10 outings.

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Strong double-double vs. Utah
Reid amassed 27 points (10-25 FG, 6-15 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals across 41 minutes during Friday's 117-116 loss to the Jazz.
Reid led the Timberwolves in points, rebounds and steals Friday, and he tied a season high with six three-pointers. It was a great bounceback performance for Reid after he went 1-for-10 from the field against the Lakers on Thursday, but his efforts weren't enough to get the Timberwolves back in the win column. He'll look to help Minnesota snap out of its two-game losing streak Sunday against Phoenix.

Timberwolves' Terrence Shannon: Scores 17 points in first NBA start
Shannon finished Friday's 117-116 loss to the Jazz with 17 points (7-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one block across 28 minutes.
Shannon made his first career NBA start Friday in part due to the suspension of Anthony Edwards. The rookie first-round pick finished with a solid stat line and connected on a season-high three three-pointers. With Edwards serving his one-game suspension, Shannon will likely retreat to the bench for Sunday's game against Phoenix.
