  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Solid display in OT loss

Wolf stopped 31 of 33 shots in Sunday's overtime loss to the Hurricanes.

Wolf was excellent between the pipes Sunday, but his efforts weren't enough to lift the Flames to a win, as the offense mustered just one goal on 16 shots. Wolf had to settle for the OT loss, and as good as he's been of late, the record isn't showing that. He's won just one of seven starts since the beginning of February, going 1-4-2 with a 2.86 GAA and an .899 save percentage in that span. He's posted a save percentage of at least .905 in his previous three starts.

  • Flames' Nazem Kadri: Nets PP goal Sunday

Kadri scored a power-play goal in Sunday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.

Kadri found the back of the net midway through the third period to even things up for the Flames in what turned out to be a low-scoring affair. The veteran center has two goals and two assists in five games since the league resumed following the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Starting against Hurricanes

Wolf will defend the road net against Carolina on Sunday, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

Wolf will get the second half of Calgary's back-to-back after Dan Vladar played in Saturday's 3-0 loss to Florida. The 23-year-old Wolf has a 20-12-3 record with two shutouts, a 2.60 GAA and a .913 save percentage through 35 appearances this season. Carolina ranks 11th in the league with 3.22 goals per game in 2024-25 and lost 3-1 to Edmonton on Saturday.

  • Flames' Brayden Pachal: Stuck in point drought

Pachal went a 13th straight game without a point in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Panthers.

The Flames have scored more than three goals just twice in that span, so it's not like there's a lot of offense to go around. Pachal has added 25 hits and 16 blocked shots during his slump. For the season, the 25-year-old defenseman is at six points, 47 shots on net, 131 hits, 70 blocks, 80 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 59 appearances. The silver lining is that his dry spell on offense has not cost him a spot on the third pairing yet.

  • Flames' Dan Vladar: Impressive but gets no help in loss

Vladar made 39 saves in a 3-0 loss to Florida on Saturday.

Vladar was the difference maker Saturday -- the Panthers held a 35-12 advantage in shots through the first two periods and a 66-23 edge in attempts, but the netminder allowed just two goals. Vladar's overall 8-11-5 record, 2.98 GAA and .894 save percentage don't impress, but it's games like this that show what he can do in short bursts. He's actually 2-1-0 in his last three starts with just six goals allowed. Vladar's name continues to swirl in trade rumors, and the Flames may try to get a draft pick back for his expiring contract by the deadline. He could have value in daily formats on a contender.

  • Flames' Dan Vladar: Starting in Florida

Vladar will guard the road net against the Panthers on Saturday, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Vladar has won his last two outings, stopping 55 of 58 shots. He has posted a record of 8-10-5 with two shutouts, a 2.98 GAA and an .891 save percentage through 23 appearances this season. Florida sits seventh in the league with 3.28 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Sharp saves but gets no support

Wolf made 19 saves in a 3-0 loss to the Lightning on Thursday.

He made a couple of great breakaway saves, including some 2-on-1 situations. Wolf is a star in the making, even at a hair under six feet tall. He's 20-12-3 with a .2.60 GAA and .913 save percentage in 35 starts. Wolf and the Flames have struggled over the last month, and Wolf is 4-4-1 with 28 goals allowed in his last nine starts.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Defending cage versus Bolts

Wolf will patrol the crease on the road against Tampa Bay on Thursday, Eric Francis of Sportsnet reports.

Wolf has put up solid numbers on the year, posting a 20-11-3 record, .913 save percentage and two shutouts in 34 contests. Still, it's been rough going for the California native of late, as he has gone 1-3-1 with a 3.24 GAA in his previous five outings. If Wolf can start stringing together some victories, reaching the 30-win threshold isn't completely out of the question this season.

  • Flames' Ilya Solovyov: Gets first point of season

Solovyov notched an assist and four hits in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.

The Flames waived Tyson Barrie last week, opening the door for Solovyov to challenge Jake Bean for third-pairing minutes. Solovyov was able to get his first point of the season when he set up Martin Pospisil's first-period tally. Through three outings, Solovyov has added four shots on net, 10 hits and three blocked shots. He's playing limited minutes, so he's unlikely to offer enough production in most fantasy formats.

  • Flames' Kevin Bahl: Earns assist in return

Bahl logged an assist and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.

Bahl missed nine games -- eight due to an upper-body and one due to an illness. He appears to be in good health now after logging 23:01 of ice time in Tuesday's win, and he was able to assist on Matthew Coronato's first-period tally that stood as the game-winner. Bahl has already earned a career year on offense with 15 points through 48 contests, but his biggest contributions are in his own zone. He's added 67 hits, 82 blocked shots, 51 shots on net, 29 PIM and a plus-2 rating while serving as a shutdown defender.

  • Flames' Martin Pospisil: Opens scoring in win

Pospisil scored a goal and added seven hits in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.

The Flames' lack of scoring depth has often led to Pospisil playing higher in the lineup, but he's been on the fourth line since the 4 Nations Face-Off ended. That's a good spot for his heavy playing style, and he's found quick chemistry with Kevin Rooney and Ryan Lomberg. Pospisil has seven points over his last 11 outings, and he's up to four goals, 20 points, 76 shots on net, 199 hits, 74 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 57 appearances this season.

  • Flames' Matthew Coronato: Lights lamp in Tuesday's win

Coronato scored a goal, added two PIM, logged two hits, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.

Coronato had been held off the scoresheet over the previous two games. He's established enough now that a brief drop in scoring won't endanger his position on the Flames' top line. He has four goals and three assists over his last eight outings, and he's up to 15 goals, 31 points, 122 shots on net and a plus-7 rating across 52 contests overall.

  • Flames' Jonathan Huberdeau: Adds insurance goal in win

Huberdeau scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.

Huberdeau's third-period tally restored a two-goal lead for the Flames. He's on a six-game point streak consisting of three goals and four assists dating back to Feb. 2 versus the Kraken. The 31-year-old Huberdeau now has 22 goals, 43 points, 107 shots on net and a minus-6 rating across 57 appearances. It's on track to be the best of his three years with the Flames, though the team's low-scoring tendencies have limited his upside even in a top-line role.
