The new office will consolidate the regional teams of Logicalis and iZeno under one roof for the first time. Seen as a “significant investment”, the new office will serve as central hub for Logicalis’s operations across the region, enhancing capabilities and services to APAC customers across security, data and artificial intelligence (AI), application modernisation, hybrid cloud, networking, and modern work. This consolidation includes the expansion of the security operations centre (SOC) in Malaysia, which Logicalis said is a “critical component” of its strategy to enhance its security offerings across APAC. The new facility will provide threat detection and response capabilities, technologies and a team of security analysts. The SOC will support more than 30 customers across APAC. Logicalis CEO of APAC Chong-Win Lee highlighted that the investment in Malaysia reflects its long-term vision for the region. “Logicalis is positioned to serve its customers and contribute to the local community more effectively by establishing a strong presence in Malaysia, and APAC more broadly,” Lee said. “The combined strengths of Logicalis and iZeno in this region will drive innovation and deliver exceptional value to clients through local expertise, while further empowering the team to deliver through access to global partnerships with leading vendors.” Logicalis’s SOC network already includes facilities in Singapore, China, Taiwan, and Indonesia, with the new Malaysian SOC set to play a “pivotal role” in this regional security infrastructure. This placement will let Logicalis offer “more localised support and faster response times” to security incidents. According to Logicalis’s head of solutions and digital transformation Roger Loh, the consolidation of the company’s operations in the APAC region is critical to the company’s global growth strategy. Loh stressed that the new office demonstrates Logicalis’ commitment to investing in the region and providing support to customers. “Establishing the new SOC in Malaysia further demonstrates Logicalis’s dedication to providing top-tier security services,” he added. “The Logicalis team is excited about the opportunities this will bring to the business, its customers, and the market more broadly.” The new office and the service delivery centre in Cyberjaya will house approximately 300 employees, providing a support system for clients. Logicalis hosted an opening event featuring key executives, customers and partners to celebrate the new office on Friday 26th July. The event included a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, a traditional lion dance and a networking luncheon, providing an opportunity for attendees to learn more about Logicalis’s enhanced capabilities and plans for the region.
