Opened on June 30 2011, Jinan West Railway Station (Chinese name 济南西站, Jinan Xi Zhan) is located in Kuiying District, 15km west of downtown of Jinan .The station is a high-speed rail hub that covers 100,000 square metre, and has 9 platforms and 18 railway tracks. Jinan West Railway Station is mainly serving 193 high-speed trains bounding from Jinan city to major cities in China per day, including the Beijing - Shanghai (Jinghu) high-speed railway and Shijiazhuang - Jinan high-speed railway.

Jinan West Railway Station has 5 floors, including station terminal, west square and east square. Departures are on 3F, arrivals are on 1F, tickets offices are on 3F and 2F. The platforms are on 2F. And metro line 1 station is on B1.

Taxi

Because the metro line 2 that connects downtown of Jinan will be in operated until the end of 2020, now Taxi is most convenient and fastest way to get to or leave Jinan West Railway Station.

Metro

Metro line 1 was operated on April 01 2019. The metro station is on B1 of Jianan West Railway Station But metro line 1 doesn't run to downtown of Jinan and it just runs north-south in the western part of the city. The metro line 2 that connects Jinan city centre will be operated untill the end of 2020.

The passengers don't need to go through security check again in or out station at entrance / exit of Metro

The first metro train is at 06:15 and the last is at 21:20

There are 15 city buses, including BRT1, K109, K156, K157, K167, K202, K58, T202, Night 109,Night 156, Night 157, Night 167, Night 202, Night 58,Night BRT1, and and Airport bus line 3, express bus from Jinan West to Jinan East Railway Station

Bus Station center is on East Square, 290 metres southeast of Jinan West Railway Station, around 5 minutes by walking.

Departures

Step 1:Get to Jinan West Railway Station by Metro, Taxi, Bus or Car 45 minutes before train departure.

Step 2: At entrance, go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport. But if passengers arrive at station by metro, they don't need to go through security check again in or out station at entrance / exit of metro.

Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.

Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.

Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Step 6: Find the platform of your train.

There are one ticket office on 1F and two ticket offices on 2F

Do you need to collect paper tickets?

Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most train routes from or to Jinan West Railway Station.

It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the paper tickets at ticket office.

Arrivals

Step 1: After get off your train, follow direction signs to exits. And please show your passport and confirmation No.(or paper ticket) to station staff to check out.

Step 2: Leave Jinan West Railway Station by metro, bus, taxi or car.
