Hoyo de Monterrey Edición Limitada 2021 Finally Launching
More than two years after its announcement, the Hoyo de Monterrey Monterreyes No. 4 Edición Limitada 2021 is finally getting its global premiere next month. The launch party is set for June 29 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Once the cigar is released there, it will start shipping to other regions around the world shortly after.
Measuring 5 3/4 inches by 55 ring gauge (a size called Maravillas No. 4 in Cuban cigar factories), the Hoyo de Monterrey Monterreyes No. 4 is the second of three Edición Limitada cigars that were planned for 2021. The first was the Cohiba 55 Aniversario, which came to market last year. Once the Monterreyes No. 4 is released, the only remaining 2021 Edición Limitada will be the Bolivar Regentes (5 1/8 by 52).
There’s no word yet on pricing or exactly when the Monterreyes No. 4 will start appearing in other global markets, but the cigar will come packaged in varnished, slide-lid boxes of 10.
This wouldn’t be the first time that Bulgaria has hosted a world premiere party. In 2018, the country’s Habanos distributor, Kaliman Caribe, unveiled the San Cristobal de la Habana Prado, and last year it presented the San Cristobal 1519 commemorative humidor.
