New terminal road opens at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport
Pay attention if you’re headed to the airport today: For the first time in about 30 years, the road to the terminal is new.
The old terminal road at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is closed, and drivers will take the new road in to catch their flights or pick up loved ones.
There’s plenty of signage to get drivers on the right path, said airport spokeswoman Mindy Kershner. But still, “change can be difficult, especially if we haven’t changed things up in 30 years.”
The new road is part of a larger construction project at CVG that will ultimately lead to a new Consolidated Rental Car Facility right by the terminal, eliminating the need for rental-car shuttles. That facility is expected to open near the end of 2021.
“We are really just trying to encourage people to slow down and take notice,” Kershner said. “We have plenty of directional signage, so just take notice.”
