Tiana D. Wynn Awarded The Arc Baltimore’s Coveted President’s Cup

Honor Recognizes the Board Member Who Has Provided Exemplary Service to the Organization

Tiana D. Wynn, a Partner at SB & Company, LLC, is the recipient of The Arc Baltimore’s coveted President’s Cup, awarded at the sole discretion of The Arc’s Board President to the Board member who has provided exemplary service to the organization.

Wynn, who joined The Arc Baltimore Board of Directors in 2019, initially served on and then chaired the Board’s Development & Marketing Committee. Last year, she agreed to join the Finance Committee and then was named Board Secretary.

“Tiana takes her role very seriously and seeks to fully understand what’s needed and how she can advance the mission,” says Kathleen Durkin, The Arc Baltimore’s Chief Executive Officer. “When we needed an off-site location for a Board retreat last fall, our first time back in-person as a board, Tiana hosted us at her firm’s office. Then when some unplanned changes occurred last year in our plans for Board leadership, she agreed to take on the Vice President’s role. Tiana has been in the thick of it since then with Board President Erik Daly and he has been very grateful for her partnership.”

Professionally, Wynn has a breadth of experience in the accounting industry, with a specific focus on external and internal audits and employee benefit plan audits. She received her MBA in Organizational Leadership, Management, and Related Support Services from Loyola College in Maryland.

SB & Company, LLC (SBC), a certified public accounting and business advisory firm, is one of the country’s largest minority public accounting firms. Headquartered in Baltimore with branch offices in Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and South Florida, SBC serves clients throughout the United States.

The President’s Cup was presented during The Arc Baltimore’s recent Annual Meeting and Awards Reception. The event honors individuals who have gone “above and beyond” in their service to the organization and the people with developmental disabilities who are recipients of its programs and services.

“The Annual Meeting is our opportunity to honor all those who have given so much of themselves to the mission of The Arc Baltimore, from community partners and volunteers to supported individuals, staff members, and other heroes of the organization,” explains Durkin. “It is their hard work that is at the very heart of our vision for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently, work in meaningful jobs, and enjoy friendships and activities in the community.”

As in past years, the 2023 Annual Meeting and Awards Reception featured a number of recognitions, as well as the election of The Arc Baltimore’s new board of directors and officers.
