'The Drew Carey Show' Cast Then and Now: See What They're Up to

For nine seasons, Drew Carey and his pals in Cleveland, Ohio went through the ups and downs of their lives, and invited us on quite the journey to see it all unfold.

On September 13, 1995, the first episode of The Drew Carey Show aired on ABC — and thus began an incredible run of episodes featuring Drew, as well as Ryan Stiles, Christa Miller, Diedrich Bader and Kathy Kinney. Drew, who had both stand-up comedy and writing experience, created the program with Bruce Helford, who once worked on Roseanne, another iconic sitcom.

The show would wrap up on September 8, 2004, as a steep ratings declined in the final two seasons the reason behind it. However, while it has been 15 years since the cast shared a set, Kathy (who played Mimi), once revealed that they do try to get together here and now. “We did become a family,” she explained. “We don’t get to see each other as often [now], but when we do … you always remember, ‘Gee, I love you.’ … We do still see each other. We are bonded, all of us, forever.” So sweet!

Kathy Kinney

Drew’s nemesis Mimi may have had a penchant for makeup, but Kathy, 64, has made out all right for herself. She had a recurring role on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, co-authored the empowerment book Queen of Your Own Life and became the co-creator and star of MrsP.com, a kids’ entertainment website.

Diedrich Bader

Though Drew’s pal Oswald wasn’t the best delivery man for Global Parcel, Diedrich, 52, has always brought it to TV. He’s had a slew of voiceover roles, including on Batman: The Brave and the Bold, appearances on shows from Monk to The Goldbergs and recurring roles on The Exes, Veep and Better Things. He also stars as Greg on American Housewife.

Drew Carey

Fictional Drew had a host of problems working in the human resources department of WinfredLouder, while real-life Drew, 61, eased his way into hosting The Price Is Right as well as shows like Drew Carey’s Improv-AGanza, Power of 10, Drew Carey’s Sporting Adventures and a radio show on SiriusXM. He’s also appeared on Dancing With the Stars and NCIS.

Christa Miller

While the guys’ gal Kate was always looking for love, Christa, 55, found kudos starring on Scrubs and Cougar Town. She’s also appeared on the miniseries The Andromeda Strain and shows from CSI: Miami to Whiskey Cavalier. And this year she celebrates her 20th wedding anniversary with producer Bill Lawrence, the co-creator of Spin City.

Ryan Stiles

Oswald’s roomie Lewis worked at the firm DrugCo, yet Ryan, 60, has shown laughter is the best medicine by showcasing his comic skills on TV’s Whose Line Is it Anyway?, starring as Herb on Two and a Half Men, appearing in Pizza Hut commercials and opening an improv venue called The Upfront Theatre in Bellingham, Wash.
