Here is another coin that was purchased from the estate sale. Thanks to everyone that helped with the last two post. So let’s grade this one too see if I lost ,broke even , or gained from my purchase. Looking forward to your reply’s. Thanks upload_2022-7-19_20-13-25.jpeg upload_2022-7-19_20-13-25.jpeg

I don't know how to grade these but you have "in God We Trust" in the obverse and a full shield. You can go to pcgs photograde to find out the grade. I would say it is AU.

Wow, looks like there's a really nice die (crack/break?) on the reverse starting at the rim going through "F AME."

Someone can elaborate on that but I think its cool.

Yes the crack also goes though the bottom of states as well. Good eyes

I would say maybe, EF-45. PCGS says in EF-45 it is worth $90

Numismedia has it at $55. Doesn't PCGS suggest it is graded?

I want to call it a low AU grade but XF-45 sounds about right.

I would think the Grade may depend on the results of conservation methods and success or failure.

Thanks to everyone! Your assessment of this coin was right on target. The purchase of the coin was $50 but it wasn’t really the value , or the coins that excites me ( even though i love it) but the experience and knowledge that’s been shared. This has been so helpful in my learning of how to grade coins. I can’t thank you enough. You guy are awesome!!!
