I just received this Morgan yesterday. I was pretty sure I had won an 1887 m inted at the Philadelphia mint. The labeling puzzled me a bit. Is this a NGC error? Also, does anyone have any information on what the "Lincoln Highway Hoard" was?
What is puzzling you about the label? It says it is an 1887. Oh, are you looking at the S$1? That just means "Silver Dollar" And, Google is your friend: https://brianbutko.wordpress.com/2010/01/26/rare-coins-found-in-lincoln-highway-hoard/ The "Lincoln Highway Hoard" is basically just a marketing scheme to pry more money out of your hand. It is essentially meaningless.
1887 S$1 = 1887 Philadelphia silver dollar 1887 S S$1 = 1887 San Francisco Silver dollar. And as Physics says Lincoln Highway Hoard doesn't mean anything.
