Struck-through 1883 Barber nickel

    Id like to say it is but even im skeptical. ...but how?? Im including stock pics of two coins struck-through similar.

    Looks like it was in a fire, and they buried in the ground for a while. Meow thinks it is not a strike through. PMD

    That Liberty Nickel is something! I have no idea but it sure is interesting. My first thought is some type of mint error not post mint damage. I really like it. We'll see what others say. There also might be some type of corrosion, after the coin (error?) was struck.
