SMP Hospitality Spends $6M for Quality Inn in Spring Hill

SMP Hospitality, Inc. has acquired the 68-room Quality Inn by Choice Hotels Weeki Wachee located in Spring Hill FL for $5.7 million.

Dennis Hopper and Randy Taylor of Tampa, FL-based DSH Hotel Advisors, a national brokerage and advisory firm that specializes solely in hotel investment sales, represented both the buyer and the seller, Maya Motels, Inc.

“We were able to achieve 97.5% of the asking price, and multiple backup offers, in a confidential manner,” said Hopper. “The location for this Quality Inn is excellent – the hotels in the area are performing very well and the Spring Hill market is continuing to grow rapidly,” says Hopper.

“Although market conditions are changing, buyers appear to be bullish on the future of hospitality in FL and we are expecting several more properties to transact in the upcoming months,” said Taylor.

The hotel’s central location offers a quick commute to the greater Tampa area and proximity to multiple demand generators such as Tampa International Airport and the Busch Gardens theme park.
