30 Best Supernatural Shows That'll Make Ya Feel Super Human

Let me set the record straight: I don't have an issue with reality, but IMHO, TV shows are waaay more fun when you add a little spice. And by a little bit of spice, I mean the supernatural. Yep, I'm talkin' witches, zombies, vampires (hmu, Edward Cullen), ghosts, werewolves, aliens, and every otherworldly creature in between. I mean, why watch a reality show when you can watch something with a paranormal element? The best supernatural shows might even convince you that these otherworldly creatures are indeed real...or not. Either way, you're in for a good time, even if this genre isn't your usual cup of tea.
If you're new to the ~supernatural genre~, you may not be clear on the difference between supernatural and fantasy. FTR, fantasy TV shows usually take place in another world where fantastical creatures and/or magical abilities are totes normal, while supernatural TV shows are all about supernatural creatures existing within the real world (aka the one you're in right now). And while there have been tonssss of incredible supernatural series over the years (Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Twin Peaks! Wynonna Earp!), I want to bring your attention to the best supernatural series on TV right now, 'cause otherwise we'll be here all day. (Plus, it's nice looking forward to new seasons, no?)
So, without further ado, here are the best supernatural TV shows you can stream right now (as well as some classics you can still rewatch).
Supernatural
Well, you clicked on an article about supernatural shows, so it only makes sense to start with a show that hits the nail right on the head. Follow brothers Sam and Dean through 15 (!!) seasons as they hunt monsters and face an increasingly sinister landscape after losing their mother to a supernatural force.
Dead Boy Detectives
OK, the name alone has me hooked already. Two teen ghosts become detectives after vowing not to let someone's death go unsolved. They join forces with a psychic to solve these supernatural mysteries, but they must deal with a powerful witch who complicates their efforts.
Lucifer
Bored with being the Lord of Hells, Lucifer decided to take a little vacay to the City of Angels—Los Angeles, California. There, he opens up a nightclub and forms a connection with a homicide detective who seems to be the only one immune to his devilish charm.
Lovecraft Country
Although it was canceled after one season, this show deserves so much more hype than it got and is well worth a watch. It follows a young man and his uncle as they embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. His journey is plagued by terrifying monsters and something arguably much scarier—racism.
Resident Alien
Harry Vanderspeigle lives in a remote Colorado town. It's somewhere no one would want to live...unless they're trying to hide something. Originally an alien sent to Earth to kill all humans, his mission gets a bit rocky when he slowly begins wrestling with the moral dilemma of his true intentions on the planet.
Teen Wolf
If you were a teen during the 2010s, then you know that this was the show. While walking in the woods one night, Scott McCall is bitten by a creature, and his life is changed forever. Both a gift and a curse, he must fight the urges he now feels before they end up controlling him.
True Blood
Sookie Stackhouse is a small-town waitress who also happens to be able to read other people's minds. When a century-old vampire visits her restaurant and asks her out on a date, she's introduced to a supernatural world that many of the locals don't approve of.
Wednesday
Jenna Ortega stans, please stand up! Based on the classic Tim Burton character, a smart and sarcastic Wednesday Addams investigates a murder spree (and delivers an iconic dance scene) while making new friends and foes at Nevermore Academy. With the news that there'll be a season 2, you better catch up on all the action before it's too late.
Penny Dreadful
Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, and other classic literary characters are brought into a new light as Penny Dreadful explores their origin stories in the dark corners of Victorian London. When Sir Malcolm loses his daughter to the city's creatures, he'll do whatever it takes to get her back...even if it means slaying some monsters here and there.
Lockwood & Co.
In Lockwood & Co., a girl with psychic abilities joins two teen boys at a ghost-hunting agency to fight the deadly spirits haunting London.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
Your teenage years are already full of horrors, but when you're half human and half witch, it's a whole 'nother ball game. Magic and mischief collide as Sabrina navigates the two worlds while battling against evil forces that threaten her family and the human world.
Riverdale

Mayfair Witches
White Lotus' Alexandra Daddario stars as an intuitive young neurosurgeon who discovers that she is the heir to a family of witches (big slay tbh). As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.
What We Do in the Shadows
This darkly funny comedy revolves around four vampire roommates living on Staten Island, and if you haven't watched it yet, then you'll wanna get up to speed, because we've already made it to season 5.
Stranger Things
Since we're still awaiting the final season of Stranger Things, fans have plenty of time to catch up on this sci-fi dramedy, which tells the story of young teens experiencing freaky phenomena in 1980s Indiana.
