From Samantha's shower head to Charlotte's rabbit: every toy in Sex and the City
Get your kicks like Carrie with this ultimate lowdown.
ICYMI: as of April 2024, Sex and the City finally dropped on Netflix (in the US, at least, not for us in the UK). The show has been on eeeeeeveryone's minds as folks stateside rediscover the show and share their opinions online. As a result, we've been reliving iconic SATC moments like the 'I’m sorry, I can’t — don’t hate me' Post-it or Carrie's 'Single and Fabulous?' magazine cover. Naturally, we've also been rehashing the show's relationship troubles, dissecting the perennial Big drama, and trying to recreate alllll of Carrie's outfits.
But when we gave the original show and the movies a re-watch we couldn't help but wonder... why has no one reviewed every toy in the show before? After all, this is the franchise that made the Rampant Rabbit famous, the scene that inspired us to toy with our shower heads and the characters who taught us that it's perfectly acceptable to spend the *whole* day masturbating. Today's Sex and the City bus tour even stops at the Pleasure Chest in New York’s West Village, so we really owe it to fans to do the sex toys in the show justice, don't you think?
We've rounded up every toy and every toy inspired by the iconic show. And sorry purists, but we've also included a few bits from And Just Like That... too. Whether it's the famous rabbit to the handcuff gift basket in Season 6, here's our take on how Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte got their kicks in the show and how you can get yours, too.
