It's time for a Heart to Heart about Cardiovascular Health!
The human heart about the size of your own fist, pumps on average of 72 beats per minute and about 115, 000 times per day. The heart pumps about 100 gallons of blood through the body each hour.
In this WebQuest, we will research the function and structures of the cardiovascular system, and explore ways to prevent heart disease.
Identify the anatomy and functions of the cardiovascular system.
Identify strategies to prevent heart disease for client teaching.
Review key concepts and create a client education brochure/ pamphlet on cardiovascular health to give to your client. It may be hand drawn or computer generated. Provide a minimum of one reference with your brochure. Use the rubric provided to evaluate your brochure assignment. Brochure will be worth max of 20 points towards a homework grade.
Be creative in your brochure and plan to use for real client.
