Volunteer
The Computer Science Department is a community of students, faculty and staff working together. We provide department, community and outreach programs, and encourage computer science students to get involved. Every year, about 150 undergrads and grads volunteer to build, teach, and work in committees and programs within the department.
If you want to contribute to student life, department affairs and the community at large, here are some of the activities you can volunteer for:
Email [email protected] with the activity you would like to volunteer for in the subject line.
- Computer Science Student Society (CSSS)
- Undergraduate student representative on department committees
- GIRLsmarts4tech
And there's more...
The department also recognizes student contribution through an annual volunteer party and various awards including: the Martin Frauendorf Memorial Prize, the Orbital/Simba Technologies Award, the Maria Klawe Women in Computer Science Award, and the Computer Science Department Volunteer Award.
