00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. Merry Christmas to all of you, we hope you're having an excellent festive period and that you're all excited to see what Santa Claus is bringing you for Christmas this year.
00:08As it's Christmas Eve, I figured that the best thing we could do today is try and figure out exactly when Santa's making his way over our city.
00:14Now the big man departed from the North Pole at around 7pm last night, and in doing so has commenced the largest gift delivery mission of all time, with over 8 billion people to visit and tens of billions of presents to deliver.
00:24Now because some countries celebrate Christmas a day early, no one can ever truly know the route that the reindeer have to take to get everywhere on time.
00:30But we know for sure we can expect him in England sometime very early on Christmas morning.
00:33So the best guesses are somewhere between sort of 12 midnight and 4am, so maybe he should be in around Manchester at around 2.
00:41We have had a message through from the North Pole today, which is that Father Christmas can often get hungry on his big journey.
00:45So if you don't mind leaving him a little treat in a glass of milk, with maybe a carrot or two for the reindeer, that's really it.
00:50Get yourself into your pyjamas, get ready for bed, leave out a little tray with some treats, and you'll be ready to wake up tomorrow morning with a big pile of presents and lots of festive cheer.
