Kate Middleton’s first official royal outing since she finished chemotherapy saw her cut a “vivacious and confident” figure. The same can’t be said for her husband Prince William however, a body language expert has speculated.

The royal duo stepped out during tonight’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall The 42-year-old Princess of Wales - also known as Princess Catherine - appeared cheerful as she stepped out of a car and headed towards the main entrance of the venue, with her husband offering a supportive hand on her back.

They were accompanied by King Charles, and among other attendees at the high profile event were Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria.

Inbaal Honigman, celebrity psychic and body language expert, weighed in on the Princess’ appearance, highlighting how “confident” she appeared. "Most notable about William and Catherine's hand-shaking with others, upon disembarking the car, is Catherine's verve,” Honigman told the Daily Star.

She added: “She's the first one to step forward, the first to reach her hand out. She displays no signs of anxiety, no dawdling, no fidgeting. Her posture is confident, with her back straight and shoulders even.

“The Princess shows that her recovery is well underway, as the smile never leaves her face. Beaming, she nods her head towards each person as she shakes hands, which shows attentiveness.

Prince William was a touch 'concerned', the expert speculated

“The couple's body language towards each other is loving and equal. They mirror each other's moves which shows their compatibility.

“William places his hand on Catherine's back. She places her hand on his back. When they make eye contact, they turn their faces fully towards one another and smile. This shows that they're supporting each other equally. There's almost nothing to suggest that Catherine has been battling an illness.”

Honigman also noted Prince William’s apparent concern for his wife on the occasion of her big outing. “One thing gives William away. Once or twice while they're shaking hands, the heir to the throne involuntarily clenches and flexes his hand as it rests by his side,” she said.

“It's a tiny movement, practically imperceptible, but it lets us know that the future King is hiding his nerves. Catherine is vivacious and confident, while her loving husband is secretly concerned."
