Corrie viewers all say the same thing as Stephanie Davis arrives on the cobbles

Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis has joined the cast of Coronation Street as Courtney Vance, and fans of the ITV soap are already very taken with the bubbly character

Stephanie Davis has arrived in Coronation Street and fans say they love her already.

The Hollyoaks actress has been cast as Courtney Vance, who looks set to turn things upside down for Aadi (Adam Hussain).


She turned up on the cobbles during Wednesday night’s (19 July) instalment of the ITV soap and viewers were quickly invested in the character.

“Loving Courtney already!” one person posted on Twitter.


Someone else agreed: “Courtney is the type of character #Corrie has needed for ages. Already excited to see what it is in store for her.”

“Courtney is fire,” said another.

One viewer tweeted: “Cunning Courtney comes to #Corrie tonight and I love her! she's got that spark that will blend in just nicely.”

Another posted: “Yaaaay! Stephanie Davis!! Sinead off Hollyoaks.”


Someone else tweeted a string of red heart emojis as they wrote: “Hello Courtney.”

In the latest episode, Darren asked Aadi to do him a favour and collect Courtney.

He picked her up in his car and the pair quickly bonded over a kebab and chips.

However, things are set to ramp up in upcoming scenes, with reports that Aadi and Courtney will begin a racy affair behind her husband’s back.


Stephanie has recently said the Corrie role was a dream come true.

She told the Daily Star and other press: "I was actually speaking to my mum the other day and I wrote a poem when I was about 13 or 14 and I said, ‘One day I will be on the cobbles of Coronation Street’.”

She went on: “And she put it in her bedside drawer and she got it out the other day and she was like, ‘How amazing is that? You wrote that as a child as one of your dreams and now you’re doing it’."
