How Coronation Street's Kimberly Hart-Simpson went from McDonald's boss to soap escort
Kimberly Hart-Simpson has swapped Hollyoaks village for the cobbles of Coronation Street but the actress has not always been in the showbiz world and was a McDonald's boss aged 16

Coronation Street newcomer Kimberly Hart-Simpson has revealed that she was serving burgers in McDonald's before she made it as a successful soap actress.
The blonde bombshell, 33, has recently joined the cast of the ITV soap as Nicky Wheatley, a £150-an-hour sex worker and Daniel Osborne's (Rob Mallard) latest love interest.
Actress Kimberly may have landed her dream role on Britain's longest running serial drama but things haven't always lights and cameras for the television star.
The soap star worked her way up as a manager at McDonalds in Oldham when she was 16.
Speaking to Daily Star Online and other press, Kimberley said: "I was one of the youngest-ever managers of McDonald's at a branch in Oldham. I was just 16.
"I find myself in higher positions for jobs and I’m never too sure how I’ve got there."
It was her lifelong ambition to appear in Coronation Street and it was her father's dying wish of her to make it onto the ITV soap opera.
Viewers will see Kimberly's character speak up a romance with Ken Barlow's son Daniel over the next few weeks.
The actress explained: "My dad was a massive Corrie fan. I think it might have mattered more to him than I did.
"Unfortunately, I lost my dad in 2007. One of the last things he said to me was, ‘Just do me a favour and get on Corrie, love'.
"We had that shared connection with it."
Kimberly previously appeared as landlord Beverley on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks but there was a point in her career when she thought she'd have to leave acting for her other passion, fashion.
She had previously set up her own fashion label called Hart-Work which led to Kimberly being hired to create the interior for bars and festivals and bars across party hotspots in Dubai and Ibiza.
After growing her reputation in the designer filed, Kimberley landed an audition interview with Coronation Street bosses.
Nicky is set to bring some happiness to Daniel, who lost his wife Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) to cervical cancer last October.
The young dad has been left to bring up their young son Bertie.
Kimberly went on to tease that her glamorous character could go clash with Daniel's sister Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
It is thought that the gobby Weatherfield resident will have a ew words to say about Nicky's profession.
Speaking about her character, Kimberly said: "Daniel deserves a happy storyline and to find himself again and have a laugh.
"I don’t believe he is rushing in too quickly. You can’t time love.
"They could be best friends, sort each other out and offer solidarity.
"I think Tracy would have something to say about Nicky’s job, wouldn’t she?
"But Nicky is a good person. You have to be a strong person to do what she does so she won’t take any prisoners. That will get right on Tracy’s nerves."
Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that Daniel will pay a visit to Nicky at her hotel and she soon becomes a confidante for him, leading him to share details about his wife's death and to tell her how lonely he really is.
Will Daniel find happiness with new girl Nicky?
Coronation Street continues on Wednesday on ITV at 7.30pm
