If you've never stepped foot into a Wawa—with its luminescent lights and among all of the precious snack foods you could ever think of—I feel really, really bad for you. I'm a New Jersey native, so Wawa is my north star when it comes to snacking...which is why the news that the chain testing out burgers and fries is kiiind of life-changing. I'm not being dramatic!

Wawa is mostly known for its coffee and sandwich bar (Helloooo, Hoagie Fest!), but I will admit the hot food options are a little lacking compared to all the other options inside of a Wawa establishment.

According to 10 Philadelphia, that will soon change, because Wawa is in the process of testing out burgers, waffle fries, and breaded chicken sandwiches. Yeah, breaded chicken sandwiches—someone go check if Popeyes is doing OK.

At the moment, since the new items are only in the testing phase, they're exclusively available at only six Wawa locations nationwide. Even there, the new foods are only available after 4 p.m., The Philadelphia Business Journal reported.

The Journal also noted the sandwiches will be served on brioche buns and that the burger comes topped with bacon, tomato, pickles, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and garlic aioli.

If the quality of Wawa's sandwich bar is any indication, I have no doubt that these new hot foods will be up to par. I love you, Wawa....looks like I'll be paying you a visit soon!!!
