Any Netflix Original Christmas movie fans in the house? Yeah, I thought so! Hallmark Christmas movies have never been quite my cup of tea, but the past few years, I’ve been eagerly diving into everything from The Knight Before Christmas to this year's Hot Frosty (I mean, with a title like that, how can you not?). My newest obsession? The Merry Gentlemen. Well...less the movie as a whole, and more one specific scene:

The movie follows a classic holiday romcom blueprint: City girl returns to her hometown, and falls for a local stud (in this case, eternal heartthrob Chad Michael Murray). The movie takes its own creative spin (did I mention there’s an all-male holiday revue?) that switches up the basic plot, but there is one scene that is impossible to forget. Ashley (or as she’s known for most of the movie: City Girl) takes a bite of a cookie, but instead of taking a bite, seemingly attempts to shove the entire cookie in her mouth. TikTok couldn’t understand, drag queens Trixie and Katya couldn’t understand, and neither could I. Well, unless the cookie was our cake mix peppermint bark cookies…or our chocolate pie cookies…okay, so maybe it isn’t that hard to imagine.

I’ve compiled a list of our most-loved cookie recipes that not only resemble the cookie that Ashley (no last name!?) has, but would also inspire uncontrollable devouring. Just be careful when eating—mess might ensue. Ready to feel like the star of your own holiday romcom? These cookies are here for you, even if Chad Michael Murray isn't.

This isn’t just any cookie—it’s a decadent experience, capturing the essence of Crumbl’s famous chocolate crumb cake cookie. A smooth chocolate ganache is generously spread over the top after cooling for a bit, adding a silky layer of sweetness that melts into the cookie. To finish, a fudge streusel is scattered over the glaze, providing a satisfying crunch and an extra dose of chocolate goodness.

This genius hack is similar to the one we use in our peanut butter stuffed cookies—freezing the balls of Nutella before rolling cookie dough around them helps prevent an explosion while baking.
