The artist didn't quite nail it, IMO. Maybe a pair of handcuffs would have made it more appealing? Criminal charges could be coming down the road...

(2,000 posts)Her given, legal name is Ivana Marie, same as her mother.
So she's actually a junior, like Don Jr, but was called Ivanka to distinguish her from her mother.
Her testimony was mostly "I don't recall" or "I don't remember" so tfg will probably be proud of her. And odds are he'll always find her fetching.
I did get a chuckle from your post.

I was nauseated.
Btw, that sketch makes her look very psycho.

(16,331 posts)she'll be furious as hell that she spent all that money on trying to look like Barbie/Melanie and the artist doesn't appreciate her new look!
Well, maybe it doesn't even matter to her as long as Daddy Dearest likes her new look.

Not a good likeness of Ivanka at all, but it will have to do.
She does photograph well, if you like plastic surgery and the botox immobility.
You can't tell her age from her photographs, and to me that screams . . . overdone the plastic surgery, dear!

(52,370 posts)for a small sum while I was in high school. I don't I now what they thought that would accomplish if an art school actually did accept them. I got paid for doing a life size self portrait for a roommate and his teacher was suspicious of the source of the talent all of a sudden.
I think the 3 illustrious of Ivanka I saw all had the same problem. They were not able to capture the shape of her face and her bone structure. They focused too much on her hair and make-up like it was a fashion illustration. They messed up her chin and cheekbones which made the whole illustration slightly screwed up.

(5,198 posts)but when I was a teen, after many years of seeing that ad, I decided to draw the parrot and send it in for my chance at valuable cash prizes. A couple of weeks later some guy calls us long distance from Cleveland and tries to run some line on my Mom about me having some great artistic talent. And, with a "modest tuition fee," I could be the next Picasso (my words, not his). She'd seen my drawings of course and knew immediately it was a scam and hung up on the guy. Oh, what could have been....
BigmanPigman
(52,370 posts)I'm glad your mom was objective as far as your talent goes and smart for not getting scammed.
I think I made more money copying for friends than I actually did as an illustrator. We are a dime a dozen. My teachers in art school even told us that our future would not be easy financially.

(84,675 posts)We know she's "had work done" - a lot, in fact. Did she have work done to stretch her neck, too? I've watched this for as long as I've seen her in public. And I cannot help what it looks like, to me.
And it's not just an artist's rendering, which can have some stylistic little flourishes to it. I've seen in photos and video clips and reports galore, both posing and moving. That was an early impression she made on me.
