Are these the same person? (shooter)

The top two pix are taken from articles that call this man Thomas Matthew Crooks but he also shows up as Maxwell Yearick in some articles.

The next three are also supposedly pix of Crooks. This guy appears to have a mild facial deformity - widely spaced eyes, a Habsberg jaw (strong underbite). Even though they are similar, does anyone know what the story is here? Why are we seeing what I believe are two different faces.

Before FBI positively identified Crooks there was a rash of viral premature online postings and a hoax video purporting to be this other guy Maxwell Yearick and claiming he was "Antifa" and posting pictures of him because Yearick was thought to be anti-Trump and had long hair and glasses. That's the reason for the confusion and for the other guy's picture popping up instead of Crook's.

I saw the short video of the first guy saying the cops had the wrong man. I thought it was AI malarkey.
